How to Fix the "Invalid Media" Error During Export in Minvo

Before exporting, Minvo runs an automatic media validation check to ensure every file in the project is available and ready for rendering. If a file cannot be accessed, export pauses with an Invalid Media error.

How Media Validation Works

  1. Start the export — triggers validation.
  2. Automatic validation scans every asset: videos, images, audio, B-Roll, and external media URLs.
  3. Continue rendering if all media is valid.

What Happens When Invalid Media Is Found

  • A notification explains that one or more files are invalid
  • Rendering pauses
  • The project cannot export until resolved

Stopping the export prevents rendering failures and incomplete videos.

Check Your Media Files

  1. Review your timeline — inspect every video, image, audio clip, B-Roll asset and external media.
  2. Look for common issues — media deleted from its original location, an incomplete upload, corruption, or an expired/broken external URL.

Replace or Re-Upload Invalid Media

  1. Replace missing files — re-upload the original or a new version.
  2. Remove broken media from the timeline.

Export Again

Click Export again; validation re-runs and rendering continues once all files are valid.

Pro Tips

  • Upload media directly to Minvo where possible
  • Avoid temporary or expiring external media links
  • Don't delete files from cloud storage while a project is active
  • Preview before exporting large or complex videos
