Hard Refresh

Useful when you see captions freezing, edits not updating, unresponsive UI elements, or timeline changes not saving properly.

A hard refresh clears the browser's cached version of the page and forces it to load the latest version from Minvo's servers. Clicking the browser's refresh arrow is not a hard refresh.

When to Use

• Captions stop updating after edits
• Effects don't appear after applying them
• The editor looks visually broken
• You're seeing outdated project changes

How to Perform a Hard Refresh

Google Chrome — Windows: Ctrl + F5. Mac: Cmd (⌘) + Shift + R

Firefox — Windows: Ctrl + F5. Mac: Cmd (⌘) + Shift + R

Safari (Mac only) — Safari > Empty Cache, or Option (⌥) + Cmd (⌘) + E, then refresh with Cmd (⌘) + R

Internet Explorer / Microsoft Edge (Windows) — Ctrl + F5

Why This Works

Browsers store temporary files to speed up loading. After updates or long editing sessions, cached files may conflict with the latest version of the Minvo editor. A hard refresh clears outdated cache, loads the newest version, and fixes most temporary UI and syncing issues.

If the Issue Still Persists

1. Close and reopen your browser.
2. Try an Incognito/Private window.
3. Test a different browser (Chrome is recommended).
4. Contact Minvo Support with a short screen recording, your browser and OS, and the project link.
